俗我

The popular idea of the ego or soul, i.e. the empirical or false ego 假我 composed of the five (sa) skandhas. This is to be distinguished from the true ego 真我 or 實我, the metaphysical substratum from which all empirical elements have been eliminated; v.八大自在我.
